The City of Lincoln City and the Lincoln City Urban Renewal Agency announce a Request For Expressions of Interest (RFEI) to redevelop properties in Lincoln City. This project seeks captivating visions from developers, business owners, and other entities that can demonstrate the qualifications and experience necessary to deliver on that mission. The City and the URA are open to a wide range of ideas and uses that will ultimately stimulate further development in a growing and dynamic city.

Lincoln City is one of the largest cities on the Oregon Coast uniting seven commercial and neighborhood districts along Highway 101. With its vivacious arts scene, impressive natural beauty, and close proximity to major urban populations, it possesses substantial opportunity for economic prosperity. The redevelopment of these public properties will increase investment and economic growth within the city.

The RFEI includes eight properties. Four of the properties are owned by the Urban Renewal Agency and all of those are intended for new commercial/mixed-used development. The other four properties are owned by the City; three of them are intended for new residential development to further achieve workforce housing objectives. The fourth City property is the TND Fire District Building and is the only property with an existing building. The properties represent an opportunity to fulfill various community priorities. Respondents are encouraged to consider a wide range of possibilities that will foster an active, pedestrian-friendly community for both local residents and visitors alike.

This project is progressing with the leadership and joint efforts of the Lincoln City Urban Renewal Agency and the City of Lincoln City. The Lincoln City Urban Renewal Agency is one of the City’s primary vehicles for promoting economic growth. Established in 1988, its mission is to eliminate blight by attracting job producing private investments that will improve property values, enhance the area’s visual quality, and leverage our location on the Pacific Ocean—all in a manner which is compatible with Lincoln City’s natural and built settings.

Update! (June 22, 2018) The City and Urban Renewal Agency have selected developers who have some exciting ideas! We have begun confidential negotiations and are now in the "due diligence" process to address and refine the program for each property. This includes the mix of uses, phasing of construction, and preliminary site plans. Our developers join us in looking forward to sharing these concepts with the public, and gathering feedback on what the development projects will look like. More updates will be posted in the coming months, so please stay tuned!
