Voyage Pump Station Upgrade
Voyage Pump Station Upgrade Project Plan
This project will upgrade the Voyage Pump Station, which is located in the Palisades Condominium complex near NE Voyage Ave. and NE 57th Ct. The current pump station is a Hydronix Model 711 over a wet well, with a capacity of 260 gpm.
The project goals are as follows:
- Install new Flygt TOP duplex submersible pump unit in the existing 6-foot diameter wet well. Install new Flygt TOP controller. Provide temporary flow management during transition work.
- Install new valve vault. Connect new valve vault to new pump discharge from PS and to existing 6” PVC force main.
- Review adequacy of existing power supply for new pumps, and if needed, specify new power connection. Maintain a temporary backup power receptacle for use by a City portable backup electric generator.
- Extend the existing concrete wet well with a new 6-foot diameter wet well top and access hatch.
- Install a modem-style wireless telemetry connection to the City WWTP.
- Install new wood fence, similar to existing, at the Pump Station to provide visual screening for the nearby condominium units.
The project was completed in October, 2017.
