Riley Hoagland

Riley traded his Northwest Indiana roots of 20 years for the wonderful Pacific Northwest after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in International Studies.   Oregon has been his home for the last 13 years.  During his youth, his mother was a traveling operating room nurse and they lived in Nevada, Alabama, and lastly California, where he graduated from Cupertino High School.  He is a father, inventor, realtor, author, and entrepreneur.  In addition to City Council, Riley serves on county, state, and national boards.  Riley believes in growing the local economic diversity and sustainability of the community.Riley Hoagland

He has been a Realtor since 2018 after working as Principal Broker's assistant.  Previous employment has had a wide range from Tow truck Driver in Gary Indiana to Assistant Manager at Goodwill to Swing Shift Table Games Supervisor at Chinook Winds Casino (Pit Boss).  Currently, he is growing his business as an entrepreneur.

Riley first visited the Oregon Coast in 2002 to visit family. It wasn't until 2007 that he realized it to be his forever home.  He moved here with his partner and their one-year old son.  They welcomed their second child in 2010 and she was born at Samaritan Hospital in Lincoln City.

Some of the ways Mr. Hoagland volunteers his time outside of City Council as an active member of the community are: delivering food to those in need, providing overnight security for local non-profits, participating in trail maintenance projects, answering calls for the county emergency call center
