Wearing a high-quality mask can help slow the spread of COVID-19.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated its masking guidance to stress the effectiveness of N95 and KN95 masks in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Read on for tips on how to properly wear and store these masks, guidance for children, and the best alternatives to N95 or KN95 masks.
Getting vaccinated – for those of us who can – is the best prevention and protection measure. The vaccines are very efficient and very protective against severe COVID-19 disease, hospitalizations, and deaths. They also help reduce the spread of the virus in communities. However, the vaccines are not 100% effective at disease prevention. This has been a known fact from the beginning.
If You Test Positive
It is not necessary for you to report your positive test result to OHA.
Whether or not you have symptoms, stay home and separate from others for five days. Continue to isolate from others until you have been fever free for 24 hours and other symptoms are improving. Wear a mask around others for an additional five days.
